Let's Talk Mascara

I have never been an expert on makeup. To be honest, I usually use the drug store stuff and don't change up my daily routine EVER.  Buttttt...That being said, I still LOVE makeup. I love buying new makeup. I love reading makeup blogs and watching tutorials. Recently I have gotten more into Mary Kay product and LOVE their concealers and foundations especially.  Since moving I now have more access to Sephora or Mac and have splurged a bit on a few items.  And I'm a true believer that makeup can make or break a face.

But today I'm are not just talking makeup, I'm getting to the nitty gritty on MASCARAAAAA......

Wearing eyelashes or getting eye lash extensions aren't really a new thing but have become especially trendy the past year or so. I am so a fan of eye lashes. Every time I wear them, never fails, someone compliments me on my eyes! Which sometimes makes me sad because I feel like I'm falsely representing my face...haha. Plus, it gets so expensive! I try to make them last as long as I can but often one pair can only go about 4 wears. And lets not even get started on eye lash extensions. Although they're absolutely amazing....they can sure be pricy!

I got to see my cousin Ashley a couple months ago and as I complained about my fake eyelashes she mentioned Younique 3D Fiberlash Mascara. How had I not heard of it yet?? haha...She recommended I try it because she really really liked it! She said it was like eye lashes in a bottle...And was only $30. I was immediately excited to get my hands on some! Luckily, I came in contact with a sweet girl named Kelsi who sells it to give some a try!

^^This photo is the very first day I used it. I was so excited I had to send a photo to Kelsi. I also mentioned to her about how no matter what angle I took the photo, it was not flattering... Talk about getting up close and personal. haha...

I waited a few weeks to write this post on it because I really wanted to know if I liked it or not. I wanted to write a real, honest to goodness review.  I am happy to say I have been very impressed with Younique.

My natural eyelashes are pretty pathetic. They're short, straight, and blonde. Lemme just show you.....

As you can see, while using a microscope, they are there! But they need a lot of help...

This is one eye with 2 coats and what impresses me the most is how they even curl up! I am a religious user of an eyelash curler for not only before I apply mascara but for after, heated up for a little more curl...And I don't need to use one with Younique! At all...

There you have it...Natural looking LONG lashes! I am definitely not a makeup gurue and to be honest I took these photos myself...So no special treatment here but a girl getting ready in the morning with a few photos in between.  But I like it. And I'm thinking you will too!

It comes with a tube of the transplanting gel and tube of lash fibers... The gel goes on like regular black mascara. Right after the gel you apply the lash fibers then immediately follow with the gel again to set the fibers...I repeat the process 2-3 times until I get the look I want. I also do one eye at a time. They do say to use your own mascara first then apply the fiber lash mascara but I found I liked the look better just using it on its own. It will probably just depend on the preference of each person but try it!-----Buy the Moodstruck 3D fiber lash mascara HERE then let me know what you think!!
