Homework...I can't quite decide where I want to do it! This is where I ended up yesterday...everything spread out all over the place....it helps me to find what I need better. haha. Starting school has brought on some new changes. Change has always been a struggle for me. I like it mostly, but I guess it depends on what it is. School started this past week. Welcome to my life for the next 4 months. It isn't easy. College is hard. I don't know if it comes easier for some and harder for others...but I find it hard. . It's hard to see an end in sight. I was getting a little discouraged yesterday. Life is good, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to keep up sometimes. It's hard to find balance. I tend to lose myself. And lately, it's been different. I just haven't been feeling at my best! I haven't made time to work out so I've been feeling sluggish. My face has been looking terrible and the way I've been eating hasn't helped either. Yesterday I was seriously feeling beaten down. Could have been the pancakes I had for breakfast or the little pizza I had for dinner...oh jeez...did I just admit that? So I turned to my friend Jenelle for a little motivation. She is a super healthy eater. She's has a lot of allergies to foods and so she's taken to a vegan lifestyle. She gave some starter tips HERE. I don't think I could go 100% vegan because I like eggs, milk, and meat although I don't eat a whole lot of meat. But I've decided I'm going to incorporate a lot of what she is doing into my food life. Because it is that, I literally have a life for food. But this is not going to be a diet. I can't say diet. Jenelle says, "it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change." haha. Jenelle is following The Forks over Knives diet and I have gotten some really great ideas from it. I like how it consists of mostly whole foods. It cuts out the refined sugars, refined flours, and processed foods which is really what my focus is going to be. It incorporates LOTS of fruits and vegetables. I actually feel excited to feel good!! She will be posting lots of recipes on Her BLOG which I am excited for.
So here is my goal....and I'm sticking to it...I'm going to work out, I'm going to keep up on my homework, I'm going to eat healthy, I'm going to go out with my friends, I'm going to be happy no matter what, I'm going to hang out with my family, I'm going to learn something, I'm going to keep up with my church responsibilities...I am GOING to have balance. If anyone else has advice for me...Please, I'm all ears.
