Earth Day with Uptown Cheapskate

Did you know this SATURDAY is EARTH DAY? I am partnering with Uptown Cheapskate in celebration to share a little more about WHY I love to shop second hand. My ENTIRE outfit is secondhand and I'm wearing brands like Madewell, Converse, Michael Kors, and Coach! Did you know that buying a used shirt instead of a new one has a tremendous impact on the environment-even if, to you, it doesn't seem like a big deal? It takes 2720 litres of water make make ONE t-shirt. That's how much we normally drink in a three year period. Not only is it great for the environment to buy second hand but you're getting the opportunity to essentially style and re-use one of a kind pieces. I have found amazing vintage pieces as well as some of my favorite essentials at Uptown....(like my leather Converse or my Michael Kors genuine leather jacket or even my vintage Coach bag!!) Every time I go it's a new and fun experience!!
